How do you translate sound into scent?
Last year, we created a bespoke fragrance for Danish audio pioneers Bang & Olufsen to celebrate their centenary. We are both Danish companies, sensory brands, and we each bring our own distinct design aesthetic to the world. One rather more famous than the other.
Because B&O products are iconic, a centenary is historic, we decided to create a fragrance that represented craftsmanship, heritage, sophistication. Layered like sound, the fragrance needed to be refined, balanced and harmonious. A reflection of the materials they use and the timelessness of their designs. An homage to their sense of fearlessness, to the pioneer spirit of Bang & Olufsen, and the legacy they have built.
