There’s a certain kind of silence you only find far from everything. High up north, surrounded by whispering pines and endless skies, filmmaker and photographer @leena.henningsen has found hers. A small red cabin in the forest has become her sanctuary — a place where time slows, and the pace of the world fades into the background.
“Sometimes it’s just so necessary to get away from it all,” she says.
“To a place where you don’t need to perform or function. A place that doesn’t expect anything from you — where you can just be yourself and let go for a little while.”
Here, the rhythm of the day is set by the seasons. The scent of wood smoke lingers in the air. Light filters through tall trees. Even the quiet seems to speak.
The first lights flicker in the meadow — quiet moments before nightfall.

From above, the forest stretches endlessly — and in the middle of it all, a home.
